The Dream Team Academy's Potty Training Certification builds on years of trusted expertise in guiding families through major childhood milestones with ease and confidence. Developed within the WeeWellness   framework, this training equips consultants with the knowledge, empathy, and tools to help families successfully and stress-free say goodbye to diapers—while supporting each child’s unique readiness and temperament.

Rooted in our whole-family approach, the program blends gentle, evidence-based potty training strategies with the latest child development insights. You’ll learn how to create customized, practical plans that work for real families in real life, from toddlers showing early readiness to older children who need extra support, including neurodivergent learners. Every step focuses on fostering independence, building trust, and keeping the process positive for both children and caregivers.

Once certified, you’ll join the WeeWellness   Dream Team of Certified Consultants, a global network recognized for professionalism, compassion, and results. You’ll have ongoing mentorship, access to proven resources, and the support of a respected brand families turn to for guidance through life’s most important transitions.

The Dream Team Academy Potty Training Certification combines expert knowledge with practical application. Each module delivers clear, actionable strategies so you can work effectively with families. From understanding the history of potty training to signs of readiness to mastering gentle, evidence-based training methods, each module prepares you to guide clients through this milestone with skill, empathy, and confidence.

THE HISTORY & SCIENCE OF POTTY TRAINING

This module lays a critical foundation by exploring the evolution of toileting practices and the biological systems behind bladder and bowel control. Beginning with ancient elimination communication and progressing through the industrial age, post-war parenting trends, and modern child-led philosophies, this module highlights how social, cultural, and medical shifts have influenced potty training.

THE WEEWELLNESS  METHOD

Now that we've explored the history and science behind potty training, let’s dive into the WeeWellness   Potty Training approach, our unique blend of child-led and parent-led methods infused with emotional intelligence. This holistic, developmentally appropriate approach is effective and compassionate.

COMMON CHALLENGES & COMPASSIONATE SOLUTIONS

Most families encounter roadblocks whether it’s a child suddenly refusing to sit, holding their poop, or regressing after an illness. As a potty training consultant, your role is to guide parents through these challenges with empathy, perspective, and actionable support. This module provides you with clear strategies, compassionate scripts, and relatable examples

REGRESSION

Potty training progress is rarely linear. Even after a child seems to have mastered the basics, they may begin having accidents or avoiding the potty again. Regressions are not failures they are a natural and expected part of early childhood development. In this module, you’ll learn how to support families when regressions arise.

WHEN, WHY & HOW TO REFER

As a WeeWellness   Dream Team Certified Potty Training Consultant, your role is to offer compassionate, developmentally appropriate support to families navigating toilet learning. However, some challenges fall outside the behavioral or emotional scope and may indicate an underlying medical or developmental concern.

TODDLER COMMUNICATION WITH KINDNESS & CLARITY

Toddlers are not mini-adults. Their brains are still developing impulse control, language, and emotional regulation. How we speak to them directly shapes how they respond. Toddlers thrive when adults use calm, clear, respectful language is used.
