Certified Consultant  (Under Mentorship)

JoAnna Poyssick is a WeeWellness™ Dream Team Certified Consultant and licensed Occupational Therapist with more than a decade of experience helping children and families thrive. She brings both advanced clinical training and a heartfelt commitment to empowering parents as they navigate learning challenges, developmental needs, and the daily ups and downs of family life.

JoAnna holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Stockton University. Board-certified with the NBCOT and licensed in Florida, she has worked on multidisciplinary teams in the United States and internationally, including Italy, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and New Jersey. Her experience has equipped her to support children with diverse needs ranging from ADHD, anxiety, and dyslexia to executive functioning, feeding and breathing difficulties, autism, and social-emotional challenges.

Her approach centers on creating personalized Strengths-Based Success Plans that highlight each child’s unique abilities rather than focusing solely on deficits. By tailoring interventions to the needs of both the child and family, JoAnna empowers caregivers with the confidence and tools to support success in learning, daily routines, and emotional wellness. She draws on training in sensory integration, visual processing, yoga therapy, nutrition interventions, and executive function coaching, making her approach both comprehensive and practical.

Outside of her professional work, JoAnna enjoys time outdoors, playing volleyball, reading, traveling, cooking, and visiting family. Originally from New Jersey and now based in Florida, she is dedicated to helping children unlock their full potential and giving families the guidance and encouragement they need to shine together.
